For instance, in the bottom image, how do the power lines, and large amount of roadway in the foreground contribute to your intention regarding this location? You noticed the red door... The next step is to walk over to the edge of the steps and frame a shot that is all about red and how it is structured with the architectural elements of the building... in other words, the frame of the door, the sunlight falling on the stairs, the pattern of the shadow on the stairs... in fact there are 3 or 4 shots there to consider. See how the shot just above it is much more about the curb and its diagonal line rather than the house?
